Roshni Shah
Roshni Shah is a Senior Software Engineer at Disney. Prior to joining Disney, she worked at American Express, where she played a key role in developing customer-facing web applications for the Digital Payments team. She led the cross-functional development of the AMEX Peer-to-Peer Payments platform and contributed to AI/ML initiatives.
Roshni’s background blends technical depth with a strong design and user experience sensibility. Her experience spans full-stack development, API design, machine learning platform initiatives, and UI/UX prototyping. She has interned at Colgate-Palmolive and American Express, and has also worked at Rutgers Makerspace, where she helped students on technical projects.
She holds a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Rutgers University, where she was part of the Douglass Women’s College Reilly Engineering Program—a selective living-learning community for women in engineering. A passionate advocate for diversity in tech, Roshni has mentored young women in STEM and ran the Young Engineers Day for IEEE. As a student in Rutgers ECE she won awards including the Galbiati Entrepreneurial Award and Best Health Hack from Merck for Hack RU.
As a member of the Industry Advisory Board, Roshni hopes to bridge the gap between current students and early career alumni.
