Become a Capstone Team Mentor
Senior Capstone Design is a culminating experience of electrical and computer engineering undergraduate education, integrating knowledge from all previous courses. Working in teams, the students incorporate technical knowledge along with economic, environmental, social, ethical, safety, and health.
The Senior Capstone Design Expo is both a platform to showcase team projects to faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends and an opportunity to celebrate hard work, achievement and success.
If you are interested in engaging students in specific projects, please email the Undergraduate Director, Prof. Sasan Haghani at sasan.haghani@rutgers.edu, a short description of the project and what background the students need to have to participate. We'll share that information with Capstone teams.
Medal of Excellence and Distinguished Alumni Honorees
The Medal of Excellence Awards, established in 2006, recognizes graduates of Rutgers University School of Engineering who have distinguished themselves professionally since graduation in industry, academia, government, research, and business. The awards also recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves in other areas including continued involvement in the School of Engineering and social responsibility. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has a long list of alumni who have pursued successful careers in academia, industry, or the government.
Honorees are celebrated at a networking dinner event that is attended by alumni and SoE faculty and students, as well as an impressive representation of local industry members and other distinguished guests.
