ECE faculty Kristin Dana received DCU-Rutgers award for IMAGING SPEECH

ECE Professor Kristin Dana is a collaborator on a newly funded project, IMAGING SPEECH – Towards Multimodal Alzheimer's Assessment with Speech-MRI, which has been selected for support through the Rutgers–New Brunswick and Dublin City University (DCU) Life Sciences Pilot Seed Funding Program. Led by Principal Investigator Julia Dietlmeier of DCU, the international research team also includes Noel O'Connor, Kristin Dana, and Rutgers graduate student Ronan John. 

The project has been awarded €47,046.79 for the period June 2026–May 2028 and will explore innovative analysis and modeling of real time MRI data. Prof. Dana and graduate student Ronan John will contribute  expertise in computer vision, including segmentation and temporal pattern modeling. The award highlights the growing collaboration between Rutgers and DCU and advances the institutions' partnership established through a Memorandum of Understanding to promote joint research, innovation, and academic exchange.
