Demetrios Lambropoulos holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Rutgers in electrical and computer engineering. He joined the department’s faculty as a full-time instructor after having served as a graduate teaching assistant in September 2023. As a faculty member, he continues to be involved in WINLAB, while teaching 2-3 undergraduate and graduate level courses per semester.

What sparked your passion for teaching?
Teaching during my PhD inspired me to continue teaching within the SoE’s ECE department.

What is your current research focus?
My research focus is on usable security and resource allocation in wireless networks.

Who is most likely to benefit from your research?
All cell phone users are like to benefit from this research.

As an SoE alumnus and now as a faculty member, what do you most enjoy about ECE at Rutgers?
I enjoyed the academic vibe of the EFE department, where students work hard and inspire each other. As a former student, and now a full-time faculty member, I specifically enjoy working side-by-side with outstanding ECE faculty colleagues.
