On April 29th, Rutgers ECE faculty and students were invited to the IEEE Princeton/Central Jersey Section Award Dinner. In the order of announcing, the following individuals received a certificate of appreciation for their dedication and service to IEEE. 

Our students were recognized for their group winning in the Micro-Mouse Competition at Rowan University in March 2026 - Please refer to an earlier announcement for details. 

Professor Demetrios Lambropoulos was recognized for advising and supporting the AP-S Student Chapter at Rutgers University. 

Professor Laleh Najafizadeh and Professor Sasan Haghani were recognized for encouraging and guiding students in participating the 2026 IEEE R1-R2 Joint Student Conference (SAC2026). 

Professor Bo Yuan was recognized for his work in advancing deep learning and AI research. Professor Sheng Wei was recognized for his excellence in teaching in an IEEE area. Professor Emina Soljanin was recognized for supporting IEEE’s Mission Award. In total, Rutgers ECE won 6/30 awards, counting for 20% of the total IEEE recognition for contribution. 

Our faculty members and students will continue representing and contributing to the IEEE area of interest, and serving our local communities.
