Entrepreneur, innovator, speaker, author, media personality, and DEI expert Randal Pinkett ENG’94 will be the keynote speaker at Rutgers School of Engineering’s 2024 convocation on May 10.
He is the co-founder, chairman and CEO of BCT Partners, a global research, training, consulting, technology and data analytics firm that has been recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies, and by Forbes as a “Best Management Consulting Firm.”
As a contributor to MSNBC, CNN, and Fox Business News, his expertise includes areas such as emerging technologies, big data analytics, social innovation, culture, and DEI. An international public speaker, he has authored or co-authored several books such as Black Faces in High Places and Data-Driven DEI.
He earned his BS in electrical engineering from Rutgers, where he was the captain of the men’s track and field team. He was the first African American Rutgers graduate to receive a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford, where he earned a Master of Science degree. He subsequently earned a second MS, an MBA, and a PhD from MIT. He was also a winner of the NBC show “The Apprentice.”
